All parts of the home should have been constructed with the proper permits for building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical. Also, all homes are not created equal, just like all cars, food or clothing are not the same. In buying a home you usually receive what you pay for. If the price seems extremely to low or high, there should be a reason.

While visiting a home take the NEW HOME CHECKLIST with you and give a value to each item. You could use a value of 0 - 3, or 0 - 10 and then add up the total value for the homes that you visit. This will not only identify some of the important factors to consider when choosing a home, it will also give you an overall value of the home.
